Despite a disappointedly wet new members meet we had a great turnout of new faces at the depot on the Saturday with many eager to get out on rock and do the real thing. Promises were made by the meet leader and so here we are…
This is a much more informal meet with the idea being we gather at the hut on the Friday night for a potential BBQ (bring you own) and a few drinks and before heading out to Stanage Popular on the Saturday for 10am. The aim of Saturdays climbing will be to introduce the joys of Gritstone trad climbing to those who have not done it before, as well providing the opportunity to meet new and old members alike.
Please contact the meet leader if you wish to reserve a bed in the hut Friday night. If you are only intending to join on the Saturday, the meet leader will be parked up in a yellow van to act as a meeting point. If the location changes it will be communicated via the usual channels.The hut is booked out for the Sunday as well for those who want to make a weekend of it, please let the meet leader know in advance if you require a bed Saturday night.
