Wednesday is the Wednesday before the Wednesday before Christmas.

On this auspicious evening the normal practice is to wander along to Black Rocks at Wirksworth equipped with suitable equipment, climb as many routes as you can endure, heckle others and then retire to a pub. 

At the weekend some of us discussed which pub it should be. The Rising Sun at Middleton was not very welcoming last summer. In the end we thought the Boat in Cromford would be best, so that’s where we are heading on Wednesday. 

Any violent objections and better suggestions need to made very quickly!

The forecast is good for a change, although it might be a little chilly. 

Hopefully see lots out on Wednesday then.
