Wow! The second quarter of this century starts on Sunday, 1st January. I hope to
see members from across all the Oread spectrum whether young, mature,
climbers, walkers, runners, cyclists, or by car come together to celebrate the start
of another new year.
The day will be more about socialising than breaking any records. With that in
mind I plan to meet at Eddlestow Lot, the Wirestone Quarry Car Park off
Wirestone Lane, Grid reference SK 232 633.
Meet at 10-45am for a 11-00am departure.

Tel 01246 590039. Mention Oread Mountaineering Club to assist seating.
Estimated time of arrival from 12-30pm.
Route (6.5 miles) :- Vernon Lane Fm – Brockhurst Fm – Henstone Cottage – Marsh
Green – Butts – Crispin Inn, Ashover (Lunch) – Overton Cottages – Cocking Tor –
Old Engine Fm – Wayside Fm – Bottom Moor – Car Park.
Bring a head torch just in case….oh, and my beer money.
