A small group of Oreads travelled up to the beautiful (but rather midgey) Isle of Skye in May. There were grand intention to do the full ridge traverse across 2 days. The weather and peoples tired limbs never quite worked aligned for that attempt however plenty of adventure was still had on the Cuillin!

- Sligachan -> Basteirs Tooth (Via Naismith’s route) -> Am Basteir -> Sgurr nan Gillean -> Sligachan
- Glenbrittle campsite -> Window Buttress original route -> Horrendous loose gulley -> Glenbrittle campsite
- Glenbrittle campsite -> inaccessible pinnacle + Sgurr Dearg -> Glenbrittle campsite
- Elgol (via speedboat) ->Dubh ridge -> Coire a’ Ghrunnda -> Glenbrittle campsite
We even had a Jame bond moment with the mountain rescue helicopter (Thankfully not looking for us) rising from behind the mountain, surrounded by cloud and land just below us! A huge shoutout to the Mountain Rescue team who were incredibly busy during our time there!
