Following on from the 75th Anniversary Dinner at The Maynard, we will meet at
10:30 just down the road at Grindleford Bridge, SK 245 778. There is usually
adequate parking on the side of the road.
We will follow the Heritage Way north, climb up to Bole Hill, under Lawrencefield
and then Millstone to Hathersage Moor and Carl Wark, turning south here to
Toads Mouth and down to the river and along to Longshaw. The cafe is just over
half-way at 7.5km, so could be a lunch stop. Leaving the cafe we head south out
of Longshaw and onto White Edge Moor descending to The Grouse, where those
so inclined can visit as well, before dropping down through Hey Wood to the cars.
Distance 12.5 km +/- 350m elevation.
