The final Oread Zoom of the winter features a footpath that traverses the
mountains of Corsica from north to south and is said to be one of the finest
walks around. Jan and I walked it in 2017 and wouldn’t disagree. Many Oreads
have first hand knowledge of it and it was the subject of a Harry Pretty lecture
some years ago at Ockbrook. Hopefully the zoom will rekindle memories of good
times past and encourage others to give it a go.
As an introduction and to add a bit of interest I’ll be describing three other
interesting walks:
a lovely walk that Jan and I did after escaping from storms in the Dolomites – a
pair of gorges in Paklenica, Croatia;
A few years ago some of us had a lot of fun descending the Torrent de Pareis in
Mallorca;
